I suffer from this aswell but the only things i can put it down to are either the drugs that I'm prescribed for my bi-polar condition or the condition itself .
What about going to see your doc and seeing if you can get assessed for depression? i suppose it could be one cause.

Write things down as much as you can. Use the calendar on your mobile phone and set the alarm to remind you of appointments and things you've to do (if your mobile has this facility).If it hasn't, a diary could be your best friend! Use a sticky memo pad to write things down that you need to remember and strategically place them on fridge or kitchen cupboard. Use word association too if you find it helpful. Keep your brain agile by doing crosswords. Get plenty sleep too.
