I always thought it was interesting how drugs affect people psychologically... is there related career?

Is there a career that deals with the psychological effects of drugs/substance abuse/ect. or anything similar?
Answer:
Experimental psychologist.
Psychiatrist, psychopharmacologist, that type of thing. Good luck!
Psychiatry. You need to go to medical school first.
Psych nurse. You get to see it all in there.
quickly come to mind:

A. pharmacy, especially getting pharmD and working as a pharmacy consultant (i.e. for pain control for individuals with drug addiction). Their pain is real and needs treatment, sometimes special treatment.

B. counseling (Certified Addictions Counselor). Be it alcohol, drugs (chemical dependency). What actually happens to the MIND.

C. physician/nurse/nurse practitioner/social work with a mental health specialty
An addiction counselor. I was in detox/rehab earlier this year and met some really great people who were addiction counselors at the out patient program I attended. They were a huge help and you could tell they really got satisfaction from their job.
