How to get back in the game?

due to depression i've been avoidin friends and really stayed home most of the time for AZaround 4 or 5 months. i feel like i'm out of the loop or like its harder to make new friends, any advice on how to get back to meeting people and feeling comfortable doing it

hey u know what, i had the same problem...just call up old friends u used to hangout with, explain the situation. you might be surprised at how they react. ask if they wouldn't mind going out for a drink/dinner/ whatever. i got in touch with a lot of people from my past who i hadn't taked to in months. i thought they would be mad, but they were really understanding and helpful. they introduced me to new people also.

another thing i did was take a class. that's a great way to meet people and u have the excuse of needing a study partner.

I've done the same thing. But I've been doing it for over 5 years. So I don't really have friends. If you still have the contact info. of your pals, give them a call and catch up. If not, you have to make new friends. Either at work, or at school, or by taking up a hobby in which you can interract with others. Start practicing that smile now.
